Finally

Well, finally, thanks to Shabbychicsarah, I am finally back on and hopefully ready to put up something that I hope you will like.

The last month has been, without question, the busiest month that Horton Heath Ceramics has ever had.  We've got baby footprint items coming out of our ears, Brownie groups doing their Christmas decorations, birthday parties and commissions, not to mention - my first proper, grown up mural which I hope you can see in the photos I am going to attach.  I have to say, doing this was the most fun I have had in sooooooooo long - and my bestest buddy, K, and I make a fantastic team.

Now got to go and get ready as K and I are off for dinner and then Breaking Dawn Part 1 at the cinema ... yippee

Thanks for indulging me

What am I doing??

Well, this is it then.  Inspired by the bloggings of shabbychicsarah, I thought, hmmm, I think I can do that.  So now I am here, and not quite sure how to start except to say, bear with me, I think I will have lots of lovely things to share with you and hopefully a few things that will make you smile.

I am a fanatical crafter and, although try as I might, I try to stay focussed on my main love  - ceramics - but with the Cabin being the main focus in my life, I get the opportunity to try lots of new things all the time.  So, what is the Cabin?

I stumbled across ceramics back in my WRAF days (so long ago) and joined a club on camp.  When I left in 1990, I searched for years to find another club and when I finally did, it was up for sale.  So in May 2006 I opened Horton Heath Ceramics in a log cabin we bought on Ebay and purpose built in my back garden - oh joy, short walk to and from work each day.  The promised 12 hours a week I was told it would take to run the business grew and grew, and now it is practically a full time business.  I'll never be rich, but I love it.  I love the crafting and I love the people I meet that love crafting.  I hope to share with you some of the lovely things that we make and do in the Cabin so, as I said, bear with me, and when I suss out how to get all the photos on here, I'll share my triumphs ... and maybe a few of my ... not so triumphs! with you.  I hope you like xxx  Claire
